The DIHRAS company was established in 1990 by Mr. Václav Nálevka. Since its establishment the development and production
focused on wooden toy production segment. Jiří and Jaroslav, sons of the founder, took active part in control of production
and operation of the company from 1992. They concentrated into the Association of Wooden Toy Manufacturers under trade name
DIHRAS. A family tradition of wooden toy production was thus established.
Great interest in new original products of our company enabled us to employ up to 24 employees. By developing machinery
and increasing fundamentally labor productivity the turnover of the company was increased on a continuous basis. The main trend
of the products from workshops of the DIHRAS company always involved top-grade quality of processing and first-class selection
of wooden materials. The production is concentrated into two plants. The company has its place
of business in Hradec Králové. The company is currently managed by Jiří and Jaroslav Nálevka,
who cooperate closely with members of the family; 15 employees and several cooperating
companies take a share in production.
In the second half of 1990s, goods were established on demanding markets in Europe and USA,
and the trade expanded in Japan from 2001.
Traditional production of wooden toys is related to own themes of designs
and new types of toys. Predominant product of our company is the so-called
walking toy introduced by us on the market in 1990. A new segment
- wooden walking toys - was thus established. It also meant impulse
for competing firms to manufacture toys on similar principle. However,
our tradition, uncompromising approach and a lot of rich experience
with such demanding and production-precise
toys enabled us to stand this hard competition.
As one of few companies, the DIHRAS
company has currently its dominant position
on the market. The company exports 70 %
of its total production.
